How to: add an avatar

Wikis > Resources & help > Help: your blog > How to: add an avatar

An avatar is a small image that represents you elsewhere (for example when you comment on someone else’s blog). Your blog can also have an avatar and it can also appear on your blog, usually in the left- or right-hand column, depending on your template.

To set up your avatar, log in to your dashboard, then click on Users (left-hand sidebar), then Your Avatar.

This is what it looks like on our screen:

Your avatar | WordPress

Find or upload the image you want to use, and Bob’s your uncle.

Then if you want a blog avatar go to Settings, then Blog Avatar.

Find or upload an image. If you want it to appear on the side column of your blog, go to Appearance and then Widgets.

Find the Blog Avatar widget and drag it across to the right hand side.
